Catch Phrases – “The 411”

November 5, 2009

I like to start each class with a catch phrase.  Little sound bites that I hope will ring in my students ears and act as reminders to me.  “The 411” is verbal shorthand that I frequently use, meaning “just the facts”.  I will ask a team member or project team to give me “The 411” or the who, what, where, when, how and why of a situation.  As a project manager, I am constantly barraged with information, questions, issues, etc. and it helps to get the least amount of information necessary to give me an accurate picture of what is going on.

I will include the catch phrases for each class in the notes for that class.  I will try to call out catch phrases/random thoughts in their own posts to provide additional insight.
