Project Initiation

The seeds of successful projects are first sown during initiation.  Understanding the purpose, goals and objectives of a project prepares the project manager and team to do a better job of planning and executing.  It is certainly not an exact science, yet there are a few basic items you want to complete during initiation.  I have included some helpful resources below:

Remember, as we move through the project or program mistakes become more expensive.  Better to invest the time thoroughly understanding the project during initiation and planning than making more expensive and time-wasting mistakes in execution.
