What Makes a Leader? Classic 2004 Article from Harvard Business Review

In celebration of their 90th anniversary this month, Harvard Business Review is making some of their classic articles available on their website.  For those in my current Project Team Management class, the What Makes a Leader? article is the one that I referred to in class the other night.  This the article where the author maintains that research indicates that a manager’ emotional quotient (EQ) is twice as important as the technical quotient (TQ) and intelligence quotient (IQ) as an indicator of excellent performance.

I do not know how long these articles will be available on their site, so I recommend checking it out immediately.  For a list of other articles that are currently available as part of the 90th anniversary celebration, here is the link.  There are management classics on the list that you do not want to miss.
